Has anyone installed Minilites or Pansport wheels to you MGA.

MGAs, are no big deal, easier than MGBs really due to thier round wheel arches. They need somewhere between 4-4.5" of back spacing, ou latest design (13 pounds a wheel) 15x6s should be here anyday, and will work fine on a MGA.

Steve.

The offset of both the Panasport 15" X 6" and the Minataur (KN) minilite look wheel in 15" X 5.5" are both correct for the MGA.

The ID of the center holes of both the wheels is slightly smaller than is correct for the MGA with front drums and the Panasport may also be a problem with some 1600 disc brake hubs. The ID of the Panasport wheel is 2.76". I don't have an ID of the Minataur wheel, but it seems to fit the 1600 disc brake hub without problems.

The MGA hub OD where it fits into the wheel is as cast, it's not machined so there is some variance from hub to hub.

I have a set of Superlights 15x6 with 24mm offset. No problem with ID of the center hole and they clear my disc brakes (MGB calipers). I dont know how well they fit with fenders on, but the 24 mm offset gives them around 4.4in backspace which should work. My only concern is the 6 in rims limit your tire size to a 175, for a 165 tire you need to go to a 5.5 in rim.
