Why are Moss tie rod ends so cheap ($18 for a pair) when I can't find them locally for less than $55 a pair!

Anyone else ordered these tie rod ends? Are they quality?

Just bought one Monday from Advance Auto, around $25 and no shipping.

I have the Moss tie rod ends on my 74-1/2. Absolutely no problems. I did an article about a year ago in MGB Driver magazine about wheel offsets, tie rod clearance, etc. FWIW.

Moss' are probably cheaper because they buy them in larger quanties than your local store parts store.

It's not unusual at all for local auto parts to be 50% to 100%+ more expensive than mail or online orders. When I converted my wife's Scirocco to relays for the headlights and foglights I wanted to use four relays. The local auto parts store wanted almost $10 for a Bosch style relays that I late ended up buying for a little over $1 each from an online electronics supplier.

No one has ever sent one of those back to me and I have sold a few.
