I am finally attempting to send pictures of my 1970 GT project. The first thing that was done was to replace the wires with Datsun 240 Z rims. I have all 5 so this includes a full size spare. The Car was stripped to bare metal and all rust was repaired.
The pictures include my Door panel with the pockets I had made. The Dash which was a 72 with a glove box was recovered with the pillow dash, so I could use the face vents. A/C will be installed, so I also put a face duct where the light switch would have been. The light switch is now located in the steering cowl, I have switched to 79 steering cowl so that would work. The engine bay has been reworked to move the radiator front forward, like the later model. I have done away with the fan and installed an electric 12" puller with a shroud my friend Mark made for this project. Mark had done the engine rebuild as well, so he put a double row timing chain, the older flat top pistons were also installed. This engine was a combination 76 and 80 Le. The front engine plate had to be changed to work with the 70 motor mounts. Mark has also done plenty of modifications for the installation of A/C with the Weber Carb. Hopefully I will have dash installed and radio wires all buttoned up this week. Can't wait to start it up. I will not however be able to drive it for a while. I am on the sidelines watching Mark work since I just had my right Knee replaced on 10/6. I hope the pictures all turn out.

Ken
