At least its as done as a MG ever gets........ and its the way I want it. I left one dash light bulb burned out just to appease the spirits of Abingdon and Lucas. Lots of little touchs~
MG badge on oil fill cap to seal vent
leather cover on e brake
leather cover on steering cowl
filled switch holes
Almost everything is new, except the engine and tansmission - they just run too good to tear down!
Big thanks to the help from everyone on this Board, JDW, Twigworker, and Chris!

Excellent looking car, Ralph! The beautiful chromed wire wheels - are they Daytons, etc. or did you have the originals chromed?
Wow is right. I hope to paint on mine soon.
I'm also doing BRG and a tan interior. That
picture is going on the garage wall for motivation.
Looks great Ralph.. Better start looking for another one and start over... LOL... nice job!
Beautiful Car Ralph...
I would like to see a close up of how the leather cowl cover is made & attached, also how did you filll switch holes?
Kudos! It's nice to see what can be accomplished with some hard work...You can be proud, that is one classy looking ride!
Man. And I thought your car was already beautiful. Now its spectacular!!!
Are you going to MG2007?
Let me know. I don't want to park beside you. :)
An A coupe. Wow.
Ralph-
That's amazing. Congratulations!
What color did you paint? (I'm in the decision zone...some color of BRG)
And what are the struts on the bonnet? I like how wide it opens-
-Don
Ralph,
Now you have spare time to drive over and help me finish mine too, right?
Congrats! Its beautiful. You should be proud!
Gorgeous! You could probably rent your yard out for pictures. It looks like Butchart Gardens!

Me too!
And you forgot....
"New frog on dash"!
Looks great!!! We must be twins - I have the same toolkit tucked into my boot to the left of the spare. Great fit!
Afterthought: Twins on the toolkit only. My B can't hold a candle to your fine specimen!
Great color combination, wonderful execution both inside & out. If it goes as good as it looks, then it is a hottie!!

Is it impolite to ask how much time and money you have in your car?
Leather cowl cover is just a piece of thin leather, cut to shape, edge hemmed and stuck on top of the cowl with double sided tape. IT really cleans up the cowl and my mis matched edges. The blank switch holes were filled with fog light switchs, with the logo removed with Goo Gone. Not wired to anything! Yet!
Yep we are planning to be at MG 2007.
The struts are from the strut supplier on this BBS and are the best single engine bay addition! No more cracking my bald head on the latch during tuneups!
SWEET!!! i like the idea of leaving a bulb burned out to appease the spirts. Maybe that's what i need to do???
Nice job!!
Ken
Looks sweet Ralph, I'll have to park on the other side of the lot at the next club meeting!
God Ralph - that is beautiful. The interior is outstanding, and the overall effect is terriffic. Congratulations!!
Looks fabulous - keep us posted on the A they're my favorite.
When I've seen pictures of your car I thought it was done already. Beautiful job. I love the tan interior with the black floors. Attention to detail!
I purposly have not added up how much I have in this car- look for the most expensive B youve seen for sale..... and we:re too close for comfort!
Fabulous car! The early grill does not clash with the later taillights. I guess I will be doing the same (but not nearly as nice)!
Very nice Ralph, I love the tan boot cover, is your top tan as well?
NICE CAR!!!!!
Very nice job!
I have two here ,want to come over and help?
Geez...I thought mine was kinda decent for mostly original, but now I'm either going to give up the restoration idea or go whole hog, 'cause your's must be the standard by which we must judge.. A...mazing. So THAT'S what they looked like new!
Thanks for the pics.
Why did you block off the vent on the oil cap? Doesn't it NEED to be there?
The vent hole on the cap was blocked off becuse I wanted to use the hose to the charcoal canister as the vent from the rear of the valve cover.
WOW!
Do you think you'll take it to the ABFM at Bellevue CC? It would be fun to see it.
Paul
Lookin' real fine.
Now just take it over to a Hooter's Rest., and get some pretties to pose by it, and post those pictures next!!!
Hope you drive the wheels off of that thing!
