I've got a Wurth tool , look like little gun, if you will, just stick end of the wire in it and pull the trigger, and the wire is stripped.

Where did ya git that thing Mr. Hap?

My stripper is a bit big to get in some places and that one looks like it would pay for itself in no time.

I've bought several cheapos that look/work like Hap's. For a little while anyway.

What you really want is thermal strippers. They won't nick the copper. Of course, that might be a bit of overkill if you're using - god forbid - blade type quick splices.

Personally I think it's gimmicky and I don't much care for it as there little to prevent the user pushing a wire in too far and cutting strands of wire as well as the sheath, the fact that you need to twist either the wire or the tool to make a full cut can only increase the chances of doing that.

The gun types that Hap mentions are quite good.

Slightly less convenient to use but good all the same:

When you've been stripping wire for 50 years a deftly wielded pair of wire cutters is really all you need and I would generally only use a tool like this in a confined space.
