It is real slow going but I managed to cut out all the rotten metal in and around the drivers side sills and get the new inner sill tacked in place, from the front quarter all the way back to the rear quarter

Yes, the A posts are both in good shape, which I am very thankfull for it's the one good refrence point left on the car for the placement of the outer sill.
Now I'm going shopping for a MIG welder, I tacked evverything in place with my gas rig but I'm afraid of getting too much metal distortion if I use the gas welder to finish up the plug welds. Anyone have any experience with a 110 volt Mig they want to recommend?
I have replaced MGB sills and MGA sills and frame repairs with my Lincoln 135... Repaired the MGB using shielded wire and the MGA with shielding gas, highly prefer the gas shielding.
Thanks David, I was leaning twords the gas shielded, nice to have a second opinion
Before Mig welding I used steel pop rivits and melted them with gas welder looked like spot welds
I have had a Hobart Handeler with CO2argon tank for about 15 years. I love it: Extremly easy to use, good penetration, and maintnance free. I use it all the time and have never had a problem.
Hobart Handler with gas here also. Im a rookie but seem to be learning to do a decent job. I am however, still having to do way to much grinding. I hope to get better.
