New Top Question

Good morning all,
I am in the process of starting to look for a new top for my wifes 76 B. I was leaning towards the cloth type top as I think it may look nicer then the vinyl. I would like to ask your input as you all know more about this then I do. Can you give me some insight on the pros and cons of the cloth type versus the vinyl?

I got a canvas top for my '73 about 4 years ago, and it is superior to vinyl in every way. Much better looking, easier to put up/take down when weather is cold or hot, completely water-tight, etc. My opinion- well worth the extra $.

My 74's cloth top seems much more quite than the 77's vinyl top.

Well, I agree that a cloth top looks much better than the original vinyl top, but there certainly is a price difference. Besides that, you should be aware of the fact that vinyl tops are easier to clean than cloth tops. so, if you car is outside a lot (and you have f.e. birds targeting your car with their shit) you might take this into account.
