I bought a new vac advance line for my 68, do i need to glue the rubber fitting to the hard plastic line or is a press fit good enough?
If the rubber piece is new, you can press fit it. If its old, I'd glue it and then test it to ensure no leaks! Test it once assembled either way!
Vacuum lines are generally press fit because the vacuum has a tendency to pull the joints together and not blow them apart if it were a fuel or coolant fitting.
