Being it was my first Father's Day and I had to be up in Big Bear for a friend's wedding, it was a golden opportunity to take the MG. Those roads are made for this car! My wife and son rode with a friend so I did the 275 miles over 2 days solo. Here are some pics...

Spectacular!
Nice scenery and a clear day to boot.
How come that road looks smoother than anything we have here in Pennsylvania? LOL
Thanks, it was a gorgeous day, 80 degrees. The roads are really nice up there and there was little to no traffic, I guess it was meant to be.
Great pics, Scott. I love Big Bear Lake!! Those roads are great as long as the rocks aren't falling!! When my car is finished, in a month or so, I'll be headin' up that way myself.
The first place I stopped for a pic had freshly fallen mini-boulders lying there. I (promptly) moved on to the spots pictured above.
It was one of those deals, I had to work Friday and my wife/son had to be up earlier so they went ahead. I got home from work, opened the garage and it dawned on me... I can take the MG, why not? I topped off the oil, air in the tires and away we went bright and early Saturday morning.
Those are the drives that make it all worthwhile...
Know that road well, used to go up all the time when I was at Ft. Irwin. With no traffic, that would definately be a blast in an MGB.
