JC Taylor and Haggerty seem to be the ones of choice. I think Taylor puts a 3,000 mile limit and Haggerty does not. I have Haggerty and they require proof of your ownership of a daily driver and you have to send photos of your collector. For an extra $15 a year I get roadside assistance with flatbed delivery to your home ( Think there is a milage limit and you get 3 times a year max ) If you have QQ plates you are exempt from inspections and they are common enough that I have not heard of any trouble with the police.
Not everyone knows this but if you have QQ plates you only have to display 1 plate - at the back. This allows you to indulge yourself. For example I have a replica English plate on the front. One of the guys at our MG Car Club has a '53 TD and has the original Hawaii plate on the frnt.
There some rumors about local police stopping folks with the vanity front plates so it is useful to have the chapter and verse in your car It is RS39:3-27.4 I have the paragraph in the car at all times
PS the premiun including roadside is about $100 a year but this will vary depending on the value you put on the car
American collector in Cherry Hill, I have been with them for over 20 years and never a problem. They have never checked on my milage usage , I drive sometimes to work 3 days in a row.
ok great. haggerty i've heard is a good company. thanks a bunch. (i don't have the car yet but i wanted to get rolling before i buy.)
For collector car insurance you will need to have indoor storage for the midget...not just in the driveway. In the garage.

I didn't know that. But I was planning on keeping the car in the garage anyway. I cleaned out the garage last month to make room for the MG.
David, I have Hagerty and they are great. Yoou can definitely drive as much as you want, as long as you have another car as your 'daily driver'. I also have the QQ plates and have had them for about 5 years with no issues. I just found out about the single plate thing as well!
