MGB: No Overdrive

Took the GT to work on Wednesday. got onto the motorway and flicked the switch to engage the overdrive and nothing happened.
Consoled myself to cruise at higher RPM. ( Now I understand what you guys without overdrive are going on about)
Got it home and pulled up the gearlever cover hoping to find a bullet connector loose but one of the wires had broken.
Thinking back on all the topics that have been going on about the Overdrive circuit not being protected and being very electrically challenged I took it to my local autosparky. Within 10 minutes he had found the wire in the engine bay and fitted a fuse inline with it and put a new bullet connector on my harness at the gearlever.
I feel a bit safer now.

Just to set your geographical target right, New Zealand is not in Aussie.
