Sorry this is not MGB related but it's driving me crazy. My friend just bought an 88' XJ6 and we cannot find the lever to open the fuel lid! It has one in the trunk but please tell me it's not the only one. No where on the dash is a lever or switch. We checked a Haynes but no luck. Also does anyone know of any good Jag BBS in the USA?

I looked at a XJ not too long ago and found this site helpful.

Let me know how your buddy likes it, I may consider an older Jag for a everyday commute car in the future.

Look between the driver's seat and the door, some cars, (don't know about Jags), had them there and I've seen some in the glove box

Thanks guys! The car has 95k miles and was obviously pampered. The chrome is almost perfect and the interior mint. There is only one spot of rust about the size of a dime on one fender. It sat for a while and the small dealer just wanted it gone. He reduced the price to $2900.00! from the original $6000.00

I have an 86 xj6, it has two tanks and the release is on the lid, just in front of where you lock it. Just push down and up she pops. It is diguised pretty well. Hope that helps.

Go by your local Jag dealer. If the parts counter person is not to busy, he or she might walk out to your car and show you how things work, where to find numbers for ordering parts. The most this will cost you is the price of an oil filter and a smile.

Liam-

That was it! My friend found it last night. Not very secure in my opinion but oh such a nice car!

Thanks for the response.
