What's so funny? The seller posted an honest ad and some lucky guy picked up a decent MGA shell for $50.

I agree. I don't know how I missed the auction, but if it had been up here in the rust belt, I'm have bid on it. My God, it's even got rockers!

I don't know if anyone really looked at the pictures, but has anyone ever seen a M/C like that before? Certainly not 'A standard issue.

My neighbor was looking for something just like that a while ago. That is in better shape than the car he is doing now. He essentially started with a rear tub and front tub, without anything to put them together in the middle.

I just chuckled a bit at the thought of buying it and then buying all the stuff it would need to become an MGA. That being said, it does appear to be a not bad tub as a replacement for some swiss cheese tub.

Someone got a whale of a buy on a solid body - however it was unknown what year. The 56 & 57 are different from the later (58-62) MGAs. The hood and hood opening is larger on the later ones due to introduction of the twincam engine in 58.

I've been to Oz and I know what that means!

I'm sure it's well worth the $50, but it does give new meaning to the term "minimalist" as far as being advertised as a car.

Unless you want to install wings on it - which, at this stage would be about as easy as wheels!
