does anyone know what size socket I need for the nut that holds the heater control to the dash?
The dash is at the painters and he's scratched /sanded the top of it (just been powder coated a few months ago!) To save time I'm going to go get the dash and take it to the powder coating guy. Odds on I'll not have the right size in the tool bag.
Also the under dash nuts? 1/2" or 9/16"?

5/8" deep socket
Don't drop the nut or the two washers
Fish them out with a tiny Allen key after they are off the threads, then pull the bottom of the dash toward you with one hand while you pull the unit forward and down with the other.
Don't disconnect the cable or you will want to kill yourself. Just let the thing dangle until you finish your work.

Thank you very much Jack-wikipedia, appreciate it.
I know about the cables, would you believe that each of the cable stops and screws is a slightly different size, all four. Been replaced at some stage (except one presumably)
