I have wanted to publish a few things for a long while but I keep running up against my limited intelligence.

I have tried to put the stuff into a blog, but they seem to be too rigid in their programming. I can't find a support site that allows me to arrange and rearrange my posts in the order that I would like to have them appear. They always want to publish the newest post first.

I have tried for longer than I would like to admit to set up a simple web site that will allow me to install posts/articles/photos but I have always become frustrated with what would seem to be the most simple of steps. I have bough several "site builders" too and they always go off into some never-never land of minutia that I don't need or want.

I lust after some of the member's web sites, and the one that Gary set up for my demised twig business was stellar, but I don't want to go to that expense or trouble.

Does anyone know of a SIMPLE way of developing a SIMPLE site? I would be ashamed to go out on the street and grab a twelve year old even though I know that they would be able to do it in a second.

One simple way is to purchase a domain name through a service like the one I use for a couple of sites (www.doteasy.com). It's only $25 per year for the domain AND hosting if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles. They have an online "build your own website" option that should be really simple and easy to use. You can also use other software to create your site (FrontPage, etc), and upload your files to the server. That's much easier than you probably think.

Whatever you do, please do NOT create something in Word, Publisher, etc., and "save as HTML" to create a webpage.....the code will be horrendous!
