MGB: Our Golden Girls

What a trio of talented, beautiful athletes. True masters of their sport.

Saw an interview with Shawn. She decided at a very early age that's what she wanted to do. She has sacrificed anything resembling a social life to achieve her goals. Very dedicated, beautiful young ladies!

I saw that too. She wandered into his new two month old gym at age six. The coach's story is very cool returning to his home town with an American Olympic champion.

Even more amazing, several weeks before going to China the gym in which Shawn practices flooded during our annual commemoration of Noah and his feat. This was in spite of the efforts of those involved with the gymnastics program to sandbag the place. She had to go to Iowa State University about 30 miles from here to practice. After the water retreated the families of the gymnasts cleaned/rehabbed the gym.

And I thought this was a post about Michelle, Janel, Kim, Sassyfras, and myself :(
