Frank, This is a terrific effort and well appreciated by the many with whom you have shared these video treasures.
I do have two questions however, are you coming to join us in Belleville, Ontario for MG2010 and were you using a remote control on the camera.
Cheers,

Jon,
At this time my plans include MG 2010 except Peter announced at Breckenridge that you'd let us in without a current passport, then confiscate our cars. Very funny Peter......

Actually I recently retired. It is possible we will move back toward the east coast to be nearer our grown kids and grandkids, but the timing is up in the air right now. If we are back east in time then we plan to make MG 2010. If we are still here in California I doubt we will, unless we make it part of a process of getting Sapphire to the east coast.

I did not use a remote control with the camera. I do believe one came with it, but the only one I could find before the trip is for my SLR camera. The camera I mounted was easily within reach. I would just put my right thumb under the base of the camera and use my middle finger to press the shutter. Once to start video, once to stop.

During the trip to Breckenridge I was also taking still images with the mounted camera. I had determined that to go from video to aperture priority photo mode was three clicks clockwise on the mode selector, and vice-versa to go back to video. It is no more difficult that tuning a car stereo with knobs. The "video recording" icon on the LCD turns red during recording so it was also easy to confirm each time.
