Steve:

This may sound goofy, but Moss has a video called Doc Doolin's Engine Rebuild in VHS format. I found it very helpful reassembling the engine (it even covered the "oil hole issue.")

I humped a little combo TV-VHS unit out to the garage and just kept hitting rewind, pause, etc. as I rebuilt the engine. (Funny how that TV hasn't found its way back into the house, oh, and funny how that co-ax cable found its way to the back of the TV in the garage.)

Steve, mine was a freak!! If you ask for your rods to be 'reconditioned' you will be fine!! Other than that, we can help you thru the rebuild!! Just ask!! We are here, and I am a lot smarter now!!

Be advised that the Dr. Doolin tape leaves out a few steps. I can't remember exactly what they were now, but cross-check your steps against the Haynes or Bentley manual.
The tape is worthwhile, though, for visually-oriented people like me.
Seems like the steps left out were: degreeing the cam, camshaft thrust endplay adjustment, rocker arm reassembly. No problem, these are covered in the books.

Now you tell me, maybe that why the car... just kidding.

Yeah, you're right David you need additional documentation beyond the tape.
