no kidding, what next...a Disney docu-drama on the threat to Snow White..........
i have to agree with Joe. Listening to Al Gore discuss his "scientific theory" is hilarious.
remember if that buffon gore could have carried his home state he would have been the prez
if Gore had gottem more votes than Bush, then we would not have had the last disastrous 8 years
wait, Gore did get more votes, dammit
Joe - One has to wonder if you have a large, supersized photo of Bush in your garage...
I do, its used to collect the drippings from my MG
I'm thinking you have a Bush comforter for your bed, with a box of tissues and lotion
hahah! Glad to see things lighten up a bit.
Better watch out - when (not if, at the rate we're going) the government finds out your MG is dripping, there could be EPA/Hazmat fines for pollution - I hear CT is running a little short on revenue, can you help 'em out? (:>

that's up there with Kirk's conspiracy theory - Obama's Storm Troopers coming to your town to squash political dissent.
I like it
Actually, the O-troopers you write about may be coming to your town; you apparently are prepared to quarter them in your house. (You may want to go and read the 3rd Amendment to the Constitution...)
You may also find out that Big Government and intrusion is not as "friendly" to your cause and way of life as you originally thought. But then again, we have already covered all of this in great detail in other threads. I will be more than happy to oblige the other readers with this again should you insist to persist blowing the Barney Frank trumpet.
It would appear, my oil dripping MG Midget friend, that you and I will have to agree to disagree on the concept of MORE government vs LESS government, respectively. I don't need, and do not want the government "freebies" and handouts, nor do I wish to be compelled by Washington bureaucrats to pay for handouts and programs for those who are capable of earning a living themselves. You said you worked for a living - you like taking home less and less each year? You don't have to answer - it's just a rhetorical question.
chuck, you never answered my earlier questions
I don't want to pay for fire protection in my town, should I have to?
and I live in a nice and peaceful town, I don't want to pay for police protection, should I have to?
I also work from home, so my needs for a department of transportation are minimal, I don't want to pay for the upkeep of our infrastructure, should I have to pay?
I don't want to pay for fire protection in my town, should I have to?
It's YOUR town, at least you think it is. I think the locals should decide local and state issues, not the feds. That a succinct enough answer for you?
and I live in a nice and peaceful town, I don't want to pay for police protection, should I have to?
See Ans 1, and note that Big Federal Governmenmt is not the answer for everything. Probably not the answer you were hoping for...
I also work from home, so my needs for a department of transportation are minimal, I don't want to pay for the upkeep of our infrastructure, should I have to pay?
I believe the Feds are working on this now - it's called a GPS in your car to track you, and to record every mile you drive so you can pay accordingly, at the rate they choose. How do you feel about that? If you like that, why would you not support the Fair Tax - same principle WITHOUT big brother tracking your every move?
Had the Congress NOT already raided much of the revenue for "programs" and voting themselves better pay and benefits than most Americans, there would probably be a reasonable amount of $$ set aside for road maintenance. Last time I was in your area, seems like I paid a whole bunch of money in road tolls - where's that money going?
Again, do you really believe that MORE and BIGGER Government is the answer?
P.S. Hope I answered your questions this time.
you really didn't, but I am used to that
lets use some federal programs for this exercise, how about Medicare, should we eliminate that government program? how about social security?
and if you were in CT, you would not have paid a single toll, looks like your internal GPS is broke, you may want to call Obama for a new battery
TOLLS: I said last time I was in your AREA, not state. Read carefully, and between the lines, and I'll try to use less subtlety.
you really didn't, but I am used to that
Used to what?
lets use some federal programs for this exercise, how about Medicare, should we eliminate that government program? how about social security?
Tell you what - you keep and pay for your federal programs up there in Connecticut. Keep Barney Frank up that way too.
Is it not reasonable that those who paid in with a promise in good faith that they would reap the benefits, should collect on that promise? Problem is, the Congress and Adminsitration that you seem to drool over and profess favor upon has sucked $$ out of that promise to pay for other things. At the current rate, we won't have to vote on if they should be eliminated; each will go away on their own.
and if you were in CT, you would not have paid a single toll, looks like your internal GPS is broke, you may want to call Obama for a new battery
Call O for a new battery...are you trying to be clever again? You even think Big Government should pay for my batteries.
Like I said, we will have to agree to disagree. You seem to want 'em in every nook and cranny of your life and place, and I don't. Chuck, Aiken, SC
