Headlines from Drudge:

OBAMA NUANCE IN AP INTERVIEW:

ON IRAN ATTAINING NUKES: 'NOT RECONCILED WITH THAT'...

ON PROLONGED DETENTIONS: 'GIVES ME HUGE PAUSE'...

ON WHITE FIREFIGHTER COURT RULING: 'VERY NARROW... HARD TO GAUGE'...

ON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: 'DON'T THINK THAT HIRING ON BASIS OF RACE...ALONE IS CONSTITUIONALLY POSSIBLE'...

Who talks like this...other than people who want to be able to shift their positions with the winds of popularity...and lawyers.

So much for direct-talk...the man has probably focus-grouped these phrases...ala Clinton.

I agree… we need a President that talk’s normal, like the rest of us!

I'm starting to miss W. and Hillary.

Speaking of Hillary, doesnt she hold some position in the Obie cabinet?

Obie is such a slimeball. Its all catching up with him.

How bout that unemployment # today.

The unemployment is going to just keep getting worse as long as the administration stays on the news every day with how they are going to change how we do business and not give details on how it works. If they continue to write 1000 page bills no one reads and voting them in to affect businesses will not hire new people.

They are following the French plan and making employees too expensive for the business to add without changing the pricing and cost structure. That causes them to pause before adding people.

But rest assured that the Government will do its part and continue to add people to the Federal payroll.

Don, you need to tone it down if you want any credibility.

Richard, the new tax plan clothed as a environmental bill will drive the unemployment numbers out of sight. The guys in the board room arent going to pay it. If they have to, then they will take manufacturing to China and else where. Should be good for the major polluters of the atmosphere,,Ironic isnt it.

Dont forget about all the manufacturing jobs that will disappear.

I think we can all agree that W wasn't the most eloquent speaker on the planet. That doesn't change the fact that BO uses the most carefully scripted, carefully measured lawyer talk of anyone I've ever seen. Everyone thought Bill was made of teflon until this guy came to town.

Steve O...your examples of GWB...were off-the-cuff remarks that were not teleprompted or scripted. Although there are not many available examples of Obama NOT using the teleprompter or a script, if you compare those instances of Obama with GWB...they would be about the same in terms of mistakes...uh, um, ah, etc. ring any bells?

The issue I am pointing out is Obama's extreme care in saying words without saying ANYTHING that he can't later say meant something totally different...I would rather have a president who speaks clearly (and makes mistakes while doing it), than somebody who is just trying to cover his a$$.

GWB had a set of cajones...that were sometimes misguided.
Obama appears to have allowed his cajones to be placed in that Hillary lock-box.

I think the Obama unscripted answers are painful to watch and think he is actually worse than Bush was. He will get better over time but it is terrible now.

Or...as is done by Obama...never trust yourself to speak your mind, unscripted, because you are primarily concerned with opinion polls, and promoting yourself.

America needs a man like Harry Truman - wasn't a college graduate, wasn't a lawyer. Didn't speak "doubletalk."
Probably the second greatest president of the 20th century, 4th greatest ever.

And no more "Skull and Bones" clowns.
