David is man who can sweat with the best of them. With his incredible help Max has a heart again. We slugged in the engine and trans today. Just to the level of motor and trans mounts. I'll start plumbing on Monday.
Best of all we didn't destroy the paint job and my buddy came over (its still in his shop) just looking to see if we did anything. I asked David to make sure he compliments the paint job as my friend is thinking I'm not happy ( I'm adjusting to the new color). So when my buddy asks David what he thinks David replies, "Well I wouldn't have painted my car blue!"
My buddy just walked away....
Ahh David. A man that knows just the right thing to say at the right time. :)
My poor friend had to ask the owners of a Model A that's in there for a full restoration what they thought of my car's paint job. They were blown away and said, "Wow. That owner must have a lot of money!!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I'm sure when he's all together he'll be Max again. No pics. Too hard and not enough time. I'll post some next week if anyone wants to see them.
Thanks again David! And to Art for his skillful engine packing that allowed us to lift it out of the Jeep. Not to mention his engine building. I won't fire it until I'm pretty done. I'm sure he's sing, Art! And Jack. Your carbs are finally going on the car next week! It only took 5 months.
