Well, I was moving some stuff around in the garage when an old master cylinder slid off the top shelf - right onto the middle of Kermit's right front fender :-(
Got a couple of nice little dents right on top of the fender, along with several smaller chips out of the paint. Dammit. Dammit. Double dammit.....
I brushed some paint onto the chipped places to prevent rust (and maybe hide the damage a little) until I fix it right.
Of course this had to happen a week before the Great Race stops in Memphis, and our club will be displaying our cars there!
Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.

Man, don't it just make your heart sink like a rock in a pan of piss? I was so stunned I couldnt even cuss, (That's bad!), when that middlebuster for my big tiller fell on Bea. To see her today you'd never know anything happened, much less the godawful mess I made while repairing the damage. It was the ablolute worst paint I ever shot, you could have done a better job with a Navy swab. I looked at it, cussed myself for being such a dunce, and poured th paint to her. When I thought I had plenty to sand off and straighten out my mess I let her dry, sanded and buffed, and she came out perfect except for a small difference in shade which nobody ever notices. She still took first in class at a Rod & Custom show shortly afterward.

I hope mine turns out as good as yours. I tried to find the repair on yours last fall in the bright sunshine and couldn't tell where is was...

Thanks Joe. Good to know I haven't lost my touch.

Joe,
((I once had a garage door jump off its tracks & the steel 2x2 landed on the roof of my newly painted Mini Cooper. Dammit ..........................))

So here's the plan. All you have to do is spend the day at the show with your butt resting on the wing covering the dents/paint chips.

Notice .. 'resting' not ......... 'sitting' .........

Once hand-painted a Mini in bright yellow, if i had realised what the car was worth over here i would have kept all my minis and just shipped em here.

Great plan! I use dash plaques on the interior.

Graham, I may use your idea. At least I've got ample....uh..."coverage" to hide all the damage...
For those of you yet to damage your car doing something stupid, I can tell you what it feels like. It's just like the way you feel if you accidentally hurt one of your kids while playing around...
