Just took my 76' for a saturday morning drive and I notice a very sharp dip and pull to the right everytime I applied the brakes. I am a novice so any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi,

Not an expert myself, but I have seen this before and it was related to a siezed brake calliper.

good luck

I have had this happen to me 2 times now. It was the brake caliper both times.

Should get it fixed ASAP As it can stay seized on all the time and then your into trouble for sure..

If you replace one hose, replace the other as well.

I meant, get everything riht on the front end andcheck the rear brakes for wear, leaks, broken springs, and what-not. If everything back there looks good it probably is, the rears should last at least through two sets of front pads.

we were all "beginners" at one time....the pull is serious.....if you did not smell brakes, then it might be a bearing....start with the cheapest first and move up.....
age is a factor how old is the front end...calipers, bearings king pins...if you don't know, and they are suspect replace them all and you will have a base line for the future....if you piece meal the problem you could take the front end apart two or three times...why not do it once and enjoy the summer.

the entire problem will take a day to bolt on( ready made king pins VB/Moss and then set the toe.....ok two days.

Welcome to the world of driver-maintained vehicles. It's a good place to be in.
I don't mean to be discouraging Mike... but if you are new to this, give yourself plenty of time. If the front end has not been worked on for a while, it may have surprises lurking in there. I had rather sound fuddy duddy and cautious than to contribute to your rushing through the job. The satisfaction at the completion of the job is well worth a few extra non-driving days. Get "the book" (see Skye's references on the main page) and read up on the job at hand.
"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" is another good reference book.
There are several active MG clubs in the Texas area. Look them up. Sometimes you can learn more with a real live person than with a book. Besides, the book never buys a round of beers.
