I'm posting this here in case anyone else can help me. My question tonight is concerning the master cylinder on my MGC. I am just getting it back in my car after a rebuild and sand blasting the pedal box and cover to repaint. While I was rebuilding the master cylinder I took off the plastic fluid reservoir. I later read not to do this unless you are replacing it. My question it I forgot the clearance the reservoir has from the master on the back port. When I took it off it was a pain in the butt to get off. To put it back on the back port of the reservoir just snaps in. I thought it then lays flush with on cylinder. I hope your understanding that I'm looking for. Can you look at yours and see if the reservoir lays flat on the back of the cylinder or is raised up a little. Mine is off the back by 1/5+ of an inch. It may take an inspection mirror to see what I'm looking for. If anyone else has any input it would be appreciated. If need be I can take a picture for you to see what I'm looking at.
