Nice. I have seen those fittings with the loop on them in race catalogs. Probably could R+R the fittings on a stock lid with the ones with the loop and have a tool-less removal. I just never looked into what size we have and all to do it.. but did think about it!
But that is a good looking product
Looks like its designed if you have two boxes. I do like the idea of a little quick access area for snacks and such. However I don't know if i even have that area available in mine. The carpet definitely doesn't allow for a second battery box. I do like it though.

Jerome, the later cars only have one opening for a battery, when they went from two 6 volts to one 12 volt. I think it changed in 75 or 76. I know my 76 only has one battery compartment
These are for pre-75 B's with the single battery conversion... usually you don't need constant and speedy access to your battery.
Very cool idea and looks very well-executed.
Boy, Robert Clark makes some really nice stuff. Cool item, If I had the disposable income, I would get a set for each car.
That is a fancy version of what I did, I cut the cover in 2 pieces and used screws with "rivnuts to mount them. That looks really nice. I wouldn't use it though, because in the box behind my driver seat is where I have my 8" JL Audio Sub speaker.

Oh boy and how. I had considered cutting the stock cover and attaching a hinge arrangement to one side but this cover is the B's knees.

If you're cheap, broke..or both..I suppose you could eliminate the Dzus fasteners from the original and fasten it down using Velcro....
What about replacing the slotted Dzus studs with the D-Ring type, allowing removal of the cover without tools.
Always wondered how you remove/replace the Dzus studs on the OEM battery cover. As I recall, they seem to be trapped in the cover. How would you remove them without damaging the cover?

I'd rather have the Dzus and the airtight seal that comes with it.
Thanks for the kind words everybody :-)
I would normally have told everyone here first, but wanted to see the effectiveness of the ad in Classic Motorsports. I guess that ad leads to the blogs anyway, lol.
I'm working hard on John Wasper's seat belt holder. I hope to have the final prototype done today, and start on a mold after that. It will be close to get these in time for Christmas! Thanks for your support; the MG community is really great.
Cheers,
Robert

Excellent! I was just thinking about the belt holder fitment last evening. Keep us posted. Thanks.
