Hmmm! sound very kinky!

Anyway, just wondering what exactly should be pumped in there?

nothing, they are bleeders, and get some vacume caps and cover them to keep out dirt.

Oh crap! Couldn't see why but they looked like they were lubrication points and I attempted to grease them. They seemed reluctant to take any grease. Could I have done any damage?

With all due respect Willie, you should get a copy of the Complete Official MGB Workshop Manual ad review the owner maintenance section. If you are just beginning with this stuff it might help you to avoid unnecessary heartache. :-) Jack

Ya gotta be careful about greasing the old brakes, of course that will keep them from squeaking!

I doubt you caused any damage, just clean off as much as you can get to.

next time, put your glasses on.<G> You know, the ones you read small print with? <BG>

And then look at a zerk fitting (the name for a grease nipple). You will see a small ball closing the opening, spring loaded. Forcing grease under pressure into this opens the ball and lets the goo go in.

Then look at the brake bleeder nipples. No ball. Also a little different size and a grease gun should not lock onto them. These guys are screwed into the cylinder and are tight until you open them a quarter turn. If you'd opened them and shot goo in, you might have had an interesting first corner. You certainly would have had the opportunity to change wheel cylinders and learn about the Dreaded Spring Clip that holds them on.

no damage, remember to cover them with big vac caps, and it would not be a bad idea to do it to grease fittings (zerks) also just find a pack of vacume caps and put the best fitting size on the things...keeps the items clean. remember our motto here at Camp Runamuk, "clean mind, clean body - take your pick." :-)
