Hi Gang -
can the rear leaf spring bushings be changed with the car jacked up on one side or do I need to go to the mechanic and put her up on a lift?
I am refering to number 8 on this link http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29025

You could do one side and then the other, but the pain will be getting everything squared back up for installation. The job will be a lot easier if you can borrow or have a rolling hydraulic floor jack and some jack stands. Sears has been running a special as well as HF

You need a hydraulic floor lift, and some stout wooden blocks. The blocks are much easier on the frame and distribute the weight better. Use the axle stands under the axle and lower as required. I have done this quite often.
