I want to change these parts #4 with #5 can I do this by jacking the car up or does it have to be put up on a lift. [see link]

You can do this on jack stands. You'll need to remove the entire leaf spring to be able to get that bushing (#4) out. These rarely wear out. What's up with yours?

I have a squeek coming right from that bushing- when taking off from a red light or sitting down in the car - squeeeeeeek...I went to my mechanic, he put it up on the lift and said 'that part is the culprit'...

On jackstands, do it one side at a time. You can drop the spring away from the axle then.

I just did this last week. You are making your self a bunch of work. I hope that it is not necessary. The bushing is pressed in and is a real bear to remove. You need a press or a big vise and the right sockets to move that baby. Lot of PB blaster too. The original bushings last a long time. If you cannot see where the rubber has separated from the steel, it may not be necessary. There is an outer steel casing and an inner steel bush that surounds the bolt.
I would just inspect, and lube the bolt, just to be sure. I replaced both of my spring eyes with poly bushings, and that is a task. The how to from the other members is good but I would suggest using wooden blocks under the frame rails for additional safety, and to support the main weight of the car.
Good luck. David

Did you consider drilling a small hole and inserting a self threading grease zerk? We've done this on other applications. Not sure if it is applicable to the B's leafs however. Perhaps a suspension guy will advise you better, Just a thought.
