I had a visit from forum member Terry Ingoldsby and his beautiful Blaze Red MGB (1972 I think). He took me for a spin which brought back great memories of when my car was on the road about 6-7 years ago.
I’m bogged down in the cleaning stage of my project, but Terry’s drive reignited the fire and I spent a couple hours scraping and degreasing last night. Its great to be back at it, sometimes it takes a little push when there are so many other distractions. I’m going to try and follow JDW’s advice to get out to the shop and do a little every night, even if its only half an hour.
Thanks Terry!

Amen to that. I'm into my second year on my 72 roadster and I'm about 90% + done. I also rebuilt my Kawasaki KZ650 while this was going on. Sometimes you just need a break but it's feels good to get back into it.
I haven't done any work on my '65 for basically 2 years, while messing around with my formerly-reliable '76 B.... Now that the '76 is running again, albeit roughly, I really want to get back to the '65. I'm in the stripping phase, and have to remove the wiring harness and engine and trans, and then it will be a rolling shell, ready for a little body work.
Of course, I do need to rebuild the Z-S carb on the '76 this winter, too....

I made the decision that the TR3 is so screwed up that it needs professional help, so it will go to a high dollar body shop T-Day week for at least body panel alignment. Once one gets over the obstacle in their way, the fire does relight!
I am at the largest swap meet in OZ this weekend.
Bendigo.
So I am sure I will have some goodies to fit and rekindle the fire come sunday.
I got tired of looking at the engine bay do here is the progress
I try to do a little almost every day if I can. The other night all I got done was four wire connections but at least I got that done.
Glad to help! I still think you should have driven it!
BTW - mine is a 1971 (actually built in late 1970). It is Blaze Red (a.k.a. orange to anyone but the mad dogs).
"do a little every night"
Amen to that. I try to get something done, no matter how small, just about every day. This month that entails chopping out floor panels. Arrrgh.
