My son is in the Marines and just came back from Iraq after a 9 month deployment. He came home safe and sound and as far as I can tell, non the worse for ware. Thank God.
Tomorrow we should all stop and remember the troops still deployed to many nasty places around the world. The hardships they endure every day
for our country would amaze all of us!
When you pass a soldier, marine, airman, sailor, or coastie on the street just tell them "thank you". They'll know what you mean and will be grateful.
Better than anyone they know that..... freedom is not free.
Happy 4th and God Bless America

I think about them every day. I really feel for those kids. They have one hell of a hard job to do, and it's going to get worse as time goes on.

A News paper Article About Our Upcoming Airshow My Boy Geoff Is Bringing His Team In For.
************
The centennial of Orville and Wilbur Wright's historical Kitty Hawk, N.C., flight in 1903 will be celebrated July 11-13 during the annual Cape Girardeau Regional Air Festival at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
"This will show just how far aviation has gone," said festival director Bruce Loy, who is also the airport manager. "It's going to be our largest show ever, and everyone is very excited about it."
The festival -- dubbed Heroes & Legends, a Celebration of a Century of Flight -- will feature a variety of vintage and modern aircraft as well as performances by pilots and skydivers from around the world.
The event will be a homecoming for Master Sgt. Jeff Weimer, a Cape Girardeau native and 1987 graduate of Central High School who is also the team chief of the Air Force's F-16 Viper West flight demonstration team stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.
The festival will be Weimer's first demonstration in his hometown in his 15-year military career.
"It's going to be great, really the tip of the iceberg for me," Weimer said. "Performing in Cape will allow people to see that hometown people can accomplishment so much."
Weimer's team will exhibit the capabilities of the F-16 by performing high- and low-altitude combat maneuvers. Cape Girardeau's festival is one of just 27 venues Viper West will perform at this year.

Happy 4th JULY
I feel for all troops that are sent out!! Whether they are Canadian or Iraqi. I have met a lot of Germans that were 'troops' in the WWII!! They are great people that were mislead!! Anyway, that being said, I hope all you families come home safe!! As you probably figgered, I hate war, and should probably have stayed out of this one!! I just hope that every family member for everybody comes home safe, but obviously that won't happen!!
Will Do!!!
Thank you son for me. My flag is already out for the weekend, and I'm thinking and praying for the young men and women who are still in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Cuba, Korea, Germany, Japan, The Philipines, and soon to be Liberia.
As much as some critisize our military actions, millions are better off for it, including the French and Germans.
God Bless America and our allies, and we pray for our enemies.
Happy July 4th to all, looks like a great day to go for a topless drive.
Bud
Ditto. If it weren't for them, many of us, those that inspired us to serve, the signers of the Declaration Of Independence, and true Americans who have never served this country in a recognizable way there would be no United States for the rest of the world to envy and degrade when that envy becomes too much for them to bear.
Well, I only got 5 e-mails so far!! Sorry, I just say what I think!! I'll be OK!!! :o)
Me too!! I'd be in real trouble if I couldn't say what I wanted, wouldn't I????? :o)
My sister and brother in law were out there with the British Army, hes back and Debbie is back end of this month. Shes a medic and hes a commando that saw quite a bit of fighting. Something pretty good happened to them out there.
