unit has power running to it. just won't run. can these units be repaired? i don't mind taking the fan to a shop. got a spare somewhere but can't find it. thanks.

EDIT: i mean the motor.

Thee are spade connectors insde the motor, just underneath the rubber pads the wires run through. Pull them off he motor and check the wires with a multmeter for connection between both the ends. Then jumper the motor directly to 12 Volts to check if the problem was the electrical connection to the (may be corroded) spade terminals or faulty plugs.
With the fanmotor on the bench, you can dismatle it after pulling the plastic wheel from it's shaft.
