The original was rusted up. Looked like mud bugs had lived in the muffler. I straight piped it instead of having a resonator. It sure sounds good and appears to be running better! Someone on one of these threads said that back pressure was a performance killer. Can a partially blocked muffler cause your car to run rough?
The set up I used was under $100. 2 inch pipe, clamps, hanger and a thrush muffler from Advance auto.
