Well one is definitely broken. The other is 1/2 as thick a it should be. Haven't looked at the trans mounts yet, but I ordered them as well.
So, a hoist on the motor as well as a floor jack on the trans to lift them both equally far enough to slip out the old mounts and replace with new? Is there enough clearance between the trans and the body to do this? Looks like I have to drop the exhaust, I've been meaning to replace the donut. Comments, suggestions, experiences? Parts may be here tomorrow or Monday.

I don't think there is enough room in the tranny tunnel to remove the mounts. You'll probably have to pull the entire thing.

I was afraid of that. I'm going to slither under there and take a closer look.

The transmission mount as I remember is bolted to the transmission and has to be removed with the whole shabang since there is no way to reach the bolts otherwise. Even if it was possible, seems like it would be easier yo remove the whole thing. You have the hoist out already anyway, right? Good luck!

The whole thing has to come out. Courtney's right that they are bolted to the tranny in all directions.
