I know you guys are going to think I'm wacko, but since I took out the Moss Red Racing Springs, from the front of my 74.5 GT,and removed the lowering blocks from the rear, thereby returning the car to it's normal ride height,it is an absolute joy to drive.
I'm now able to leave my kidney belt at home, and don't have to lean so far over to check the oil.
As a bonus,it's easier to get in and out of !
Long live the Rubber Bumper Cars.

YES, but NOT at stock height!

Poor devils gone and got altitude sickness.
Oxygen starvation has severely effected his judgment.
plus dizzyness from all that rocking and rolling around in corners.
Rick,
When you lowered the car... did you modify the bump stops?
If you lower a car... but Do Not shorten the bump stops... you're guaranteed to have kidney busting good time!
Plus, when the car is in roll, as soon as one end of the car settles onto a bump stop it stops rolling and starts sliding.
Steve
I removed the rear bump stops & sawed the front ones in half.
Guys, Mr Rick D is not wacko at all, as he and I are from Upper Oblivion most of us up here are just a little bent.
You should have kept half of the rear bump stop, it'd make a hell of a thump without one. I cut 22mm off.
Each to their own though.
I thought about cutting & reinstalling them, but I'd have to go airborne to need 'em. I've done autox & several track days without issue.
When I bought the car last year,it was already lowered. At first the ride was acceptable, and it definitely cornered better ( faster ) but since I drive most of the time sedately,I wanted comfort.
Soooo,up she went !
Leans in the turns, especially since I took out the rear sway bar,At the new ride height,it was rubbing badly on the inside if the rear passenger side rim, only when making a left turn at anything above walking speed.
I'm going to look for a different sway bar,as this rubbing,is something no one else seems to have experienced
