Replacing the seal, the long rubber one that goes on the support on the engine side of the radiator. Is it glued in?

Not on my '72 or '73...just fits into the slot on the support.

When I removed and replaced that seal on The Bearcar, it had what appeared to be a residue of some adhesive left in the channel. It is hard to say for certain but a thin application of some contact type cement might be in order for piece of mind purposes, otherwise, if it fits the channel snugly enough it probably wouldn't be necessary.

I had one of those ones Moss sells. It was made of light weight foam rubber.
Within a week it was sucked into the fan.
For a seal I use a piece of that black pipe insulation that home depot sells. It looks and works well.

Contact cement...small "neat" amount to bottom side.

If you are talking about the one on top of the support that goes between the support and the hood, I glued that one in with weatherstrip adhesive. If you're talking about the one that goes across the top of the radiator tank between it and the support - well, I haven't got one of those yet.:eyeroll:

Yes, the Moss one I bought many years ago was two pieces of gray, foam rubber glued together. Not gluing it down let the fan eat it! So, Jim, did you glue the insulation from HD? Anyone got any pictures?

The Moss one was glued down but came off anyway. The black 1/2 inch pipe insulation isn't glued and it is still in place.
