I am starting work on the Sebring bodykit project for my GT and after searching laboriously have failed to find any "current" recommendations for a source for the parts, although lots of commentary.
I wondered if anybody had compared the quality from various sources and if there was a clear winner.
If possible I would like to source from the US.

Any recommendations?

This is the place I got my fiberglass 'c hood from, and I'm happy with the quality and fit. Tim (owner) is a member here, but it doesn't seem like he posts very often anymore. I would have preferred an original aluminum 'c hood, but I couldn't find one close at any price.

Thanks
I am not sure if Tim is taking new orders at the moment, I had hoped that he might be able to do the complete lot for me.
I will have to have give the mgmotorsports guys a call and see if the parts they sell are the same ones they use - their conversions look really impressive

Yes they are the same parts.
Be aware, fitting the wings is not for the feint hearted. MG motorsports ship complete front wings but they suggested that I cut the flares off and bind them onto the original steel wings. I (of course) did not follow their advice and it was a long difficult process. The good think about the MG motorsports front valance is that it's made from aluminium and fit's really well.
The air freight from the UK to San Francisco was less than a couple of hundred bucks but you'll need a big car to pick them up, the packaging was about the size of a coffin for a big fat guy :-)
Regards
Tony.

You may have already seen this article: http://www.britishv8.org/Articles/Sebring-Fender-Flares.htm

Two U.S. companies I know of who offer Made-in-U.K. fiberglass Sebring-flare kits are:
Brit-Tek http://www.britishv8.org/Sponsors/BritTek.gif
Targett Motorsports http://www.britishv8.org/Sponsors/TargettMotorSport.gif

Both are British V8 sponsors. Last time I talked to John Targett, he mentioned that he had a Sebring kit in stock. He also offers aluminum valances. I don't know if Bob at Brit-Tek has a kit in stock. I'd certainly contact both these guys for advice and price quotes.

Nick, There is a new fiber glass C hood for sale in the TRADER forum. Chances are it would be less than one purchased from a regular dealer that sells for $450.00.

I just remembered something I'd been told about Sebring flares in the past: Kelvin Dodd at Moss told me that when you first take a set of fiberglass flares out of the box - after they've been sitting on a shelf for some time - the fiberglass will have "taken a set" and it'll usually need some time to come back to correct shape. Your first impression might be that they'll never fit right! The advice Kelvin gave me was to "hang them on the car" clamped into position as well as you can manage. I think Kelvin suggested waiting five or six weeks but I imagine temperature and other factors might affect how long it takes for the fenders to come back to their intended shape, so that they're easier to work with.

This article shows another approach for installing Sebring flares: http://www.britishv8.org/MG/DarrenJones.htm

Nick - I'm not. I've gotten so far behind from the move. But, I plan on having much more time in June to catch up. Telecommuting in my day job will free up the time I need. I can jump out to the shop when I take my breaks. Makes a huge difference.

As for allowing the flares to reshape, this is on reason I make my pieces to order. After they are made, I let them stand for a couple days in the molds to cure then pack them for shipping. Hopefully they get installed. I also fit them against my car to make sure they are pretty close when I trim them.

By adding mild heat, you can get a twisted flare to reshape itself to the car rather quickly. Sometimes a few halogen lights is all you need, or VERY careful work with an inexpensive heat gun. Clamp it in place as Curtis mentioned, warm it up, and add more clamps (cleckos work great) as you move along.
