MGB: Shawn Johnson

Hurray for Shawn Johnson. Gold on the balance beam. I sure was rooting for her.
Nastia is no slouch either. What a pair of athletes. They have made America proud.

Don't forget Alissa Sacramone. She had a tough time of it on the team events, but the rest of the team didn't exactly step up to the mike either. She also got robbed on the vault event final.

Hey, they ALL did better than me :D

I watched them replay that last night and was very glad Shawn got a gold. I couldn't believe it when the girl from Romania snapped it up on the floor exercise, went to bed too early to see it and had to hear about it on the news.

You are correct, sir. I'm embarrassed that I left her out. She did get robbed, but she is a true winner in my eyes and I'm sure in America's eyes.

All the girls did GREAT!

Been a pretty proud year for the US I think.

We need something positive to talk about for a change.

Now if our beach volley ball girls kick butt....that will be even more cool.
