Can the side cover gaskets be replaced without removing the manifold or the catalytic converter on a '78? -Thank you

It may be possible, but I wouldn't do it. They're pretty finicky to get right, and it's a whole lot easier to do if you can see the darn things!!

I'm with Ken. It's better to bite the bullet and pull the manifold than to gnaw on the bullet for agrivating hours and end up with a leak again.

Where can I source out replacement covers? Mine are really really bent inwards at the boltheads and leak like milk in cheesecloth

I got headers and a weber... does that make replacement easier?
