After much debate with myself I have signed the title over to a fella in NH. I had over 1,000 hours in the original rebuild of the car in 93 and added a new engine and OD trans since then. Sometimes the journey is truly the destination? I got my lowered asking price and now it is full speed ahead on the V6 project and maybe the 5 speed conversion on the Midget. My daily driver will now have a spot inside the garage next winter too!

It sucks, debating with yourself. One part of you is always going to lose! But at least you have another project (or two) to get into!!

Keep us posted on the V6 project. I am debating V6 vs V8 for GT re-build for next project in next year or two.

That was a real nice B. I sold a 72 B once, and I'm still regretting it....

Jerry, The Merkur works too, and so does the Datsun (Nissan)

I am thinking of going with the Rivergate system which uses a Datsun tranny, adapter plate and new driveshaft set up and clutch. It works without any changes to the Midget body and can be converted back easily for originalitiy. Probably in the neighborhood of $2,000 with their rebuilt tranny and slave cylinder conversion. All the posts on the Enthusiasts site have confirmed this truly transforms the car to a modern performer. Without it I am doing 5,000 rpm at 65mph!
