What are my options if I want to use an aftermarket fuel gauge and the ohm range is different from stock. I believe the ohm range of the aftermarket gauge is 15-180 ohms and it is my understanding the MGB gauges are approximately 15-220 ohms. My car is a 1979 MBG. Looking for ways others have handled this.

Frank I don't know what gauge you were looking at. But I know of a 80 LE that was converted to a v6 used a VDO fuel sender. I will pm you pictures of that dash set up.

You might try attaching a 1/2 watt 500 ohm resistor from the sender lead to ground. That parallel combination would reduce the 220 ohm value to about 150. It also lowers the bottom end to 14.5.
If you are looking for aftermarket guages that match the original sender, take a look at the senders and gauges that are listed on eguges.com.
