If you don't have it . Make it ! Here is a young man that used some ingenuity. Looked like he was doing a good job on his resto too.

Interesting how he thought that through. Personally, I'd like to see some bigger wheels than those little casters, but that looks like a decent tool for the job.
Rick,
I agree with you about the wheels , they need to be larger. I would have made it lower too. Needs to rotate from where it is setting on the boards. That way the side would just about be setting on the floor, as low as I could go without touching. That would make it a lot easier to work on the top up surface. You have to admit he had a good idea and built a nice sturdy frame to hold his project. I bet his project turns out nice too.

Still on that same spit today. I had larger wheels, but it causes the whole thing to bounce when you are really getting into it. I replaced the larger wheels with a couple small movers dollies.
Rolls wherever I want it.
We built one like that out of steel tubing. One thing we eventually did was remove the front long piece so that we could work on the car more conveniently. We added trianular braces down low on the back side so it wasnt a problem when we rolled it around. That way we could remove the front piece, which we otherwise often found in the way. I like the use of wood, since it's somewhat easier to make and cheaper so one can discard it after a job is done.
However, I had a business and used the rotisserie nearly continuously for years. I did use larger wheels (industrial grade casters, actually) which had brakes on them.
I kind of like the fact it is made out of wood and if it was not so high it would not need that end brace. I can think of a few changes I would make . You have to admire the kids ingenuity. You must have had rubber tires if it bounced, the larger size of the solid caster would only make it easier to roll.

it rolls good. I used to have rubber tires because I had to roll it on gravel. Now, it's on concrete, so the mover's dolly works fine. I can lift it and slide a 4x4 under the corners to keep it from rolling. The front swivel casters have brakes.
Yeah, my driveway is gravel right now. That's the reason I picked up on the casters. Shoot, I have trouble with a trolley jack if I'm working on the car outside the garage.
Hey Rick,
Just in case no one has thanked for your service to our country ! Thanks !

Hey Will... who does that belong to anyway? I would like to get his dimensions. Is the car rotating on pipe that has been strapped down to a notch in the wood? I guess the weight of the car would hold it down. Very nice work.
Scott,
I just ran across this on the internet and thought it was a great idea so I saved the pictures of it. It should not be hard to make just make the box a little wider and a little longer than the tub, Yes I can see a metal strap in the picture holding the pipe. I think it is up too high, I will make mine just high enough to clear the floor. I will not need the end brace as mine will not be that high and a 2x4 channel should brace good enough. I also will make it lock in place too.
