Here you go....1-3-4-2
Thanks. Is number 1 closest to the radiator? then 2,3, and 4 by the firewall?
Approximate positions:
#1 at "one o-clock" (yes, at the top of the dizzy and pointing towards the radiator.)
#3 at "11 o-clock"
#4 at "7 o-clock"
#2 at "5 o-clock"
#1 plug/cylinder is the one closest to the radiator....#4 plug/cylinder is closest to the firewall.
1 & 2 are closest to the radiator - 3 & 4 closest to the firewall. 1 is usually pointing toward the spark plug on the number 1 piston, at the front of the car.
EDIT - Rick beat me to it! :)
Thanks Gents. Alas, I had them right. wishful thinking...back to the drawing board...
Be careful here. If the engine has ever had a rebuild the 1 position could be anywhere.
Take your best guess. Then do not be afraid to rotate if necessary. If you are in the right order there are only 4 possibilities.
Or learn how to find top dead center for #1..
