@Paul - I'm sorry you two can't make it. :(

Looks like it's gonna be a GREAT show, even without a beading tech session. LOL

You're probably right on that...St. Louis isn't really that far, and she's been 'resting' for a long time. I think I have a new electrical/charging problem to sort out in the next day or so, then we'll be ready to go.

Looking forward to making some new friends Friday at the Red Roof!

Well, less than a week to go and looking good. Hopefully the weather will cooperate but as is the case here and probably everywhere, they keep changing their minds almost hourly!

You can follow along via the show web site http://www.AllBritishCarShow.com or via Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/ABCSSTL

If I remember this year I'll tweet regularly from the show field with all the breaking news and weather updates.

@Gerald - look forward to meeting you at the show. If you do have any issues, which you won't, there'll be plenty of knowledge to help you out at the event!

Thanks, Simon...I'm looking forward to meeting you this weekend as well. Issues or not, I'm certain that I'll be asking a fair amount of questions whilst trying to tap in to the available knowledge. ;) Wish I had been able to make it over sooner for a club meeting...

Here's latest forecast . . .

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87.

I'll be there if the B doesn't give me more trouble than can be fixed roadside.

Well, the weather gurus have been wrong so far with the remnants of Hermine. We've had very little rain all day - where they were predicting thunderstorms. It's a light, steady rain right now, but THIS:

Hourly Forecast for Saturday:

6 am - 69°F

9 am - 74°F

12 pm - 79°F

3 pm - 82°F

...and the potential for rain is now about 10%, down from 40%-70%. :) Show field is mowed and looks beautiful!

Weather continues to get a better forecast. Slight change for showers before 8 AM then this!

1969 Merlyn MKII is registered and likely a 1934 Lagonda is coming. It's going to be great, hope to see a few of you there!

Dinner at Dierdorf & Hart (cajun shrimp, 18oz strip steak, and a couple of Newcastles) then over to the Red Roof to visit.

It was goof to see friends out in the parking lot; has the making of a very good show tomorrow!

The parking lot party was great fun. LOTS of interesting British cars showing up. :)

And it was especially good to see Rick and Jean and Jim and everybody we don't get to see all the time. :)

Ric,

Myself and I think 3 other cars from St. Louis will be there. We're arriving Friday PM for the pre-show activities and will be there on Saturday. Plan to head home after the show as it's a relatively easy 3 hour or so run.

of course I'll be at the SIR Brit show, and Chuck and all from St Looie are considering dinner Friday night, Pizza and beer probably. There is also a hospitality room at the old lock and dam from 7-9 or so. Free beer and munchies, early registration available. This year features the MGB so you should all like the tshirt, if you need my cell number or there is anything I can do to make your trip to the area better, PM me here
