Does anyone have a 2 part plastic steering column cowl for a '72-76 B they'd like to sell?
In terms of Moss Part #, it's 233-220. I see there's one on ebay, but would rather deal with someone I "know."
I removed my steering rack this weekend and noticed a couple of creative PO items. He had installed zirk fittings on both front hub caps (grease covers) and one on the plate that goes over the steering rack damper.
I'm baffled at both since grease shouldn't come out of the hubs (so why would you ever want to add more?) and the rack takes 90w, right?
It looks like the rack seals have been torn for some time. My plan is to clean everything up and check out the condition of the innards and go from there. Does this sound like a reasonable approach, or does a new rack make more sense?
Thanks - Paul

Paul - there was a real good thread entry sometime back about what to look for and what to do on steering racks. I think it was posted by Tom Bedenbaugh. Do a search on postings by Tom and you might find it.

...on the Zirks, I modified a crossmember for Jerri's '70 GT by putting Zirks on the lower wishbones...but I also modified the steel tubes with grease channels

I might need the steering column shouds for a 78 B, some @!#$ tried to hot-wire my car and took the shrouds with him! Along with my soft-top which was a POS! Go figure!?
