Good Day:

Sorry for the new topic. I'm not familar with how to manuver in this BBS. I thank you for the previous suggetions now if you would be so kind. I had the bolt on wire wheels balanced, but the vibration and shaking steering wheel at 70 mph is still there. I've looked the whole front end over, tried moving each wheel up and down and side ways. They seem fine. I'm located in Westminster, MA near Fitchburg. Any body know who I can take the B and solve this problem. By thw way I installed a new 5/8 sway bar could this be casuing the problem.

The swaybar should not be the problem. If you just got your tires balanced, perhaps it is the tires themselves. Check your kingpins carefully also, as well as your tierod ends. The least little magnifies at speed.
I just got rid of my frontend shake by rotating the tires.

Ray, I'm sorry to say I have no ideas on this. The last time I had this particular problem, it was a bad tire, one which had a ripple effect going on when you moved your hand over it. It was new, on top of it!! There happens to be a British Car show in Brookline tomorrow. Are you by chance going? It's at the Larz Anderson Museum outside. (I'm in Nashua).

You could try Varas Garage in Needham, MA all he works on is MG's and Triumphs. Sorry can't supply you with a Tel # but it is on Central Ave, Needham just off route 128
Hope it helps

If you want directions I can supply them. I used to work for the extremly dodgy used car dealers across the street
