Hi guys, the tach on the B has never worked properly, it sometimes will register a low reading or bounce a bit. I,ve tried adjusting the wire loop and then just replaced the loop wire. Nothing worked. Had a thought today, the car was positive earth and was converted to negitive by the PO. Does the tach need to be converted too? If so how do I tell if it has been and how would I convert it?
TIA Ross

Yep, just swap the two connections and it should be fine. While it's open to swap wires I would drill hole by the adjusting pot on back side. i did with my '65 and could recalibrate it if needed. Converted to electronic ignition and needed to adjust it.

Thanks Robert, that is exactly what I tried to find earlier. Looks like I need Library lessons too.

Good idea,Tim, I'll drill that hole as I am thinking of the updating the ignition.
