That's the bomb man, the bomb! (I mean that in a good way......go get it)
I love that car. It was the first car I could remember my family having.
That car is butt ugly! I thought that the day it was introduced and I still think it. :D

Looks like a Tatra 87 (1936 - 1949) from the rear. Without the rear mounted, air-cooled V8 however. Probably easier to find parts for the Nash, on the other hand.

They were very cool and came with many advanced features. The front seats folded down to meet with the rear seats so the car was great to "sleep" in on long trips or at the drive-in movie. Nash even sold a little mattress that fit perfectly.
There were other smaller Nashes of thet era too. Parts from I-6 Jeeps from the 60's-80's I believe work for the mechanicals. Best to buy one in 99% super condition though.

That was the first car my father in law bought after many years of being without a car. He absolutely loved it.

I was in high school when my dad bought a Nash like the one shown, only in a two tone brown. The parents of the girl I dated refused to let me take her out anymore because of those fold down seats! "Lordy, Lordy, car seats that make into a bed," her mother said.
It's so cool now. I remember it as sooooo ugly when it first came out. You have to laugh at how much body overhang is needed to allow the front wheels to negotiate a turn.
