I've seen that car at the last three NAMGBR nationals and it never fails to impress me. The entire car's workmanship is of the same standard as the engine compartment. There is no way to tell it from a stock GT from the outside. Until, of course, he fires it up!!

Wow! That is an excellent job. I don't see any fuel/brake lines either.

Ken, do you have any specs on the car? Which engine did he use?

I talked to the guy briefly. The V8 converstion was started in the late 70s and he is using a Buick 215 V8. He said they aren't detuned like the Rover versions. I would suspect that the engine is producing around 250 hp.

Is that the only engine that GM put the distributer in the right place??? I hate them at the back, but of course it is nowhere near as critical now days as when you were fighting with points every couple of monthes!!! But you are right!! I was totally impressed by the job also!!!
