Good day.

I am talking about the learning curve, and I am referring to myself...

I am putzing on the A. The one I brought home from 29 years of mothballs.

I am not familiar with the method of the spark plug attachment(s) of wire to dizzy cap.

What exactly am I looking at? I see that a local advance auto parts has a cap for the A but it seems to feature the cap and then these four pieces that would look like screws...not sure I get it.

Please enlighten?

Insert the plug wire into the hole of the cap. Insert the grub screw and tighten. The screw will pierce the cable, making contact with the inner lead.

Landon,

Check Moss.com, (online catalog) (Ignition) Original Lucas Cap $34.95 or Aftermarket Cap $13.95 (possible a similar item from AdvanceAutoParts).

Hunts-

As Steve pointed out, the cables are screwed down from inside the cap which, if you are used to the more "modern" slip type connections on caps, seems archaic.

I like the old screw type side entry caps but the screws don't work as well with modern carbon core wires as they do with older stranded coper core wires and those will cause a lot of radio interference. If you want to run modern carbon type wires I'd use a top entry cap.

The best wire you can use is copper. The resistance within carbon/fiberglass can actually result in burning thru the rotor cap. I have had customers show me the end results. If you can't find the copper ignition wire PM me.
I stock the Intermotor side entry cap at $12.
