I think I asked this once a while back, but I don't remember the response.

Could anyone tell me the exact K&N filter number I need? I have converted my '75 B to twin SUs, and as you fellas know the '75 B is the one with the tight clearance on the brake booster. I have metal mesh filters on there now (can't remember the make) which I have bashed in to make fit, but they are faulty and continually fall apart.

If anyone knows which filters I could use which would really actually fit, I would love to hear about them!

I think you need these. Others will chime in. Picture is from a couple days ago.

Josh I bought a set through Automotive warehouse In Niagara, same as pictured On Roberts link. Took one day after order and were cheaper than through other suppliers. I'm not sure that auto warehouse is a chain store Might be worth a try.

KNN56-9320 fit my SU HS4's on my '76B with clearance to booster.

To the best of my knowledge there are no filters that fit well on the 75 with SU's. It sounds like you already know that the 75 has a different pedal box than any other year so the filters that are often used on other RB conversions usually won't work on a 75. Maybe the very small pancake filters would fit but they would probably rob all of the performance benefits of the SU's. Sorry.

Hmm... So I'm stuck using the bashed in mesh ones? That's a shame. I heard rumour that there were some K&Ns that did in fact fit, but I guess that was untrue? And yes - as pointed out, the '75 is a special beast when it comes to this stuff.

I used what Trevor shows above, but that was a 79. Hap or Jimmie came up with something that is easy on easy off that is conical yet smaller; hopefully this will float to the top where one of them will see it. Good luck!

I used the same K&N's shown on my 75 but had to cut (machine) the black spacers between the carbs and manifold down to allow clearance.

I had this feeling I would have to machine the spacers. Dammit! That means taking it all apart again :X

See that's the thing. Nothing for the '75. Gah.
